So, the week before last, I was walking while listening to Christopher Tracy's Parade over & over, & I'm pretty sure it was loud enough (on purpose) to be heard by anyone I walked past, but I'm also pretty sure none of those booboos that I had to walk past even recognized this masterpiece..... surrounded by airheads!

Thoughts From The Anniversary...

Be careful what you find, when you're looking for some kind of Prince tribute, the radio stations did a much better job last year, & tv channels as well. Anyway, the only thing I could find was unfortunately on some hiphop channel or whatever called FM- of course, isn't every channel a hiphop channel, you have Love & HipHop, Growing Up HipHop, HipHop Squares, & some other things I can't remember, & I'm sure this is all a coincidence (yeah, right)- but I digress....


First, there was something  called WeMissYou Prince, which I thought was going to be a documentary with people saying things other the usual B.S., but nooooooo, it was music videos, I like some of his videos, but some I don't wanna see ever again or think about- like anything from the D&P era- so, what did they do?   Show Diamonds & Pearls & of course, the LONG version of the Cream video, I would have rather seen Mountains or Anotherloverholenyohead or Alphabet Street. They also showed Kiss  for the umpteenth time- my LEAST  favorite song on Parade.


Then, there was a short program called The Prince Effect, which was more of what I was looking for, but there were a few comments I could have done without & most VILE- that Judith Hill woman was on there (both, she & Kirk Johnson can go to Hell, did I say that out loud?)

BTW, just read a asinine review of this album at amazon.com, where the reviewer mentioned that his sister called the lyrics "corny".... I can't stand people who call things CORNY... too many people in my "community"-if you know what I mean- love to call things or people - corny- many times the things people should be listening to or watching or the people they should like, always get called corny!
