Target & the Education System! or Fear of Autodidatics

Inspired by some booboo who blogged about Target vs. Walmart

First of all, I HATE Target (& not just because it has a loathsome Starbucks in there or because it attracts shallow, slightly snobby, & trendy people who carry Louis Vuitton bags).. ....
Second, the fact that she would use an asinine term like "smartly-clad" speaks volumes about her. Then again, she's a teacher, so she always "thinks" in terms of who is or looks "well-educated".  Sounds like what she's suggesting, is that looking well-educated means a superficial person obsessed with fashion & labels, which is nothing to be proud of.
And how in the hell does someone look uneducated? Do they dress for comfort instead of so-called style, & why is that a bad thing? Why would someone with her attitude & elitist outlook on life even dare to set foot in a Walmart?

And the school system is really a factory to train people to be MISeducated workFORCE robots- who care more about being " successful" than THINKING for themselves- so, NO ONE is truly well-educated!

" I spaced out all the way through the school system. And thank God, because most of what they taught was wrong"  Joni Mitchell

And speaking of education, I wish I wasn't bombarded by tv ads for various schools, like that VILE Sallie Mae ad & the Citizens Bank student loan ad, and University of Phoenix and those damn Strayer University ads with Queen Latifiah......  but I know what that's about- they wanna keep the masses BUSY CONSTANTLY going back to school- meanwhile, as long as they live, these "achievers" will never read the books they should be reading or know the things they should know.

They brag about being supposedly educated but have never heard of COINTELPRO or Operation Mockingbird & think the CIA are the good guys!

Edited on August 30th- The ultimate evidence that the masses are MISeducated ?  The number of people who are lining up to "pay their respects" to racist warmonger John McCain!

"An education system that tries to divert them from critical issues by focusing on testing, homework, grades, college admissions, job searches, & the other forms of performance trauma." John Perkins
"School failed me & I failed the school. I wanted to learn what I wanted to know, but they wanted me to learn for the exam. What I hated most was the competitive system, there. I felt that my thirst for knowledge was being strangled by my teachers; grades were their only measurement. From the age of 12, I began to suspect authority & distrust teachers." Albert Einstein

"Dr. Delgado told Congress that he hoped for a future where a technology would control workers in the field and troops at war with electronic remote signals.  He found it hard to understand why people would complain about electrodes implanted in their brains to make them "both happy and productive." " John Judge

And you wonder why its called the "workforce"

The more I think about this, the more I'm convinced I'm right, of course they wanna keep the sheep constantly going back to school "updating their skills" - in how to be gullible, trendy group-thinkers, that is- but, never really questioning anything, perfect for Big Brother's workforce... this freakin community college in the city I live in, used to do this vile thing, they would ( in addition to their t.v. ads) send mini catalogs to EVERY household, whether you wanted them or not- "Oh, we gonna make sure they get their education".  They don't want people to have too much free time, they may start thinking too much, they might start reading books that contradict what they've been taught!

When you say things like "I'm able to get my education." You sound like a fool!"
