No muscleheads...oh no!

I remember when I was a little girl, having a little crush on Adam Ant. Any man I've been attracted to since then is basically a similar type. I don't think its a coincedence that the usual image for a male rock star is somewhat androgynous-long hair, skinny, more beautiful than handsome. Can you imagine a rock-n-roll frontman looking like some hypermuscular conan the barbarian type-yuck.....with a thick neck & pecs?! NO!

I never bought into the whole "big & strong" propaganda. Not only was the music better in the 60s,70s, & 80s,the men looked better! I can't see a woman turning down a young Mick Jagger to be with some big, dumb football player. Seems like now more than ever, women are brainwashed into wanting oversized & macho- especially if the woman is a bimbo.

HA!

Joe Manganiello is repulsive.

Zappa on Schools

gullibility:   "When did you meet a workman who believes the papers? He takes it for granted that they're all propaganda..... But the educated public, the people who read the highbrow weeklies, don't need reconditioning....   They'll believe anything."   C.S. Lewis

Man's best friend?

When they say dogs are man's best friend, I think they really mean the AVERAGE man cause some of the most brilliant, interesting, complex men seem to prefer cats:
Mark Twain
John Lennon
Frank Zappa
Ian Anderson
Ernest Hemingway
Leonardo Da Vinci
Charles Dickens
Edgar Allen Poe
Victor Hugo

HA!

Tim Buckley - Come Here Woman

A THINKING listener with a sophisicated ear knows that music is MORE than something to play in the background . From the album, Starsailor - which everyone should hear.

Home Sweet Home

A recurring dream
Me trying to get home
Lost........
In a state of confusion
Like being trapped in a maze
Never finding "home"
Maybe its because I haven't found home
Yet..
What I've experienced has never been much of a home
No understanding
No empathy
You sit back as so called loved ones
Break your spirit
Tear it up into incalcuable little pieces
And you're still searching for all the pieces
To put yourself back together

The Question Of U

The way he plays that guitar, its like he's playing notes that have never been played before, like he made them up. Its as if this song comes from some other planet. With that guitar, he makes you want to cry, & takes you someplace else.
At one point, it sounds like the guitar is crying.
Its a shame this song, along with the almost as otherworldly Joy In Repetition are on the soundtrack to a movie we're not supposed to like, because of that a lot of people probably have never heard it.
I'll take both of those over Kiss anyday!

A different kind of airhead....

If I see one more babymama blasting misogynistic thug "music" while her kids are in the car with her, I'm gonna scream.
It's not enough these women don't have enough intelligence, depth, sensitivity, grace, etc.,to NOT pollute their "minds"with this evil..they have the stupidity to encourage their offspring to listen as well.
Its freakin child abuse.

Liberated?

Why do I feel like the only woman left on this planet that isn't overtly sexual? That leaves something to the imagination in the way they dress, I mean, whatever happened to mystery? That's NOT interested in making sex tapes,  & NOT interested in taking or sending nude or damn near nude pics?

I won't be anyone's Hottentot Venus!

I think alot of these chicks think they're empowered or liberated, they're wrong, they're actually doing what misogynists want them to do-they think their worth is in their body parts-that's not liberation.
They're objectifiying themselves.
