I was just at amazon.com (later found out all of them weren't listed) looking up all the books in this series. I noticed a pattern of mostly male artists or should I say, books about albums by male artists/bands. Some are worthy, like Steely Dan, Prince, & Stevie Wonder. Others not so much. It would be nice if someone had the balls to write a book on Tim Buckley's Starsailor album..

Anyway, if I remember correctly, one of the few female artists I saw was Liz Phair?! You're kidding me right? Why does she get a book ..... cause she "sings" about blowjobs? Liz freakin Phair! But no books on Kate Bush or Laura Nyro?
Female singer/songwriters who paved the way for a Liz Phair are ignored. But guess who isn't ignored... the loathsome Kanye West, & a couple of other rappers & somebody named DJ Shadow... remember every white rock critic sold out & fell under the "street cred" spell, so they just have to embrace EVERY rapper, didn't you know? I guess they think that makes them NOT a racist, when actually its the opposite.
People need to question why the masses (all over the world) blindly accept & can't stop raving about rappers- the WORST examples of black culture.
